Awana at Eastgate

Awana is one of the most exciting ministries we offer for children, students, and families. Through Awana, parents and trained volunteers work together to help kids grow in character, build friendships, and most importantly develop a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.

Each week, children experience a fun and engaging environment where they learn God’s Word, memorize Scripture, participate in activities, and build lasting friendships. Our prayer is that every child who participates in Awana will come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ for a lifetime.

What is Awana?

Awana is an internationally recognized children’s ministry that partners with churches and families to help raise up the next generation of faithful followers of Christ.

The name Awana comes from 2 Timothy 2:15 and stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” For more than 60 years, Awana has helped churches disciple children through Scripture-centered teaching and intentional spiritual development.

A Ministry for the Whole Family

Awana is more than a weekly program—it is a partnership between the church and families to help children develop a lifelong foundation of faith.

Through Scripture memory, Bible teaching, games, and encouragement from caring leaders, kids are equipped to grow in their understanding of God and their love for His Word.

Who Can Participate?

Our Awana ministry is open to children and students ages 3 years through 12th grade.
