Connection Groups are small-group Bible studies where people gather to grow in God’s Word and build meaningful relationships within the church family. These groups meet regularly to encourage one another and help us live out our faith in everyday life.

Each group is designed to help people:

• Connect with the Word of God

• Connect with others in authentic community

• Connect their lives to God’s purpose and mission

Scripture, church history, and our own experience show that smaller gatherings like these are one of the most effective ways believers grow spiritually and care for one another. The early church lived this out as they gathered together for teaching, fellowship, prayer, and shared life (Acts 2:42–47).

For this reason, Connection Groups are one of the primary ways people get connected at Eastgate Baptist.

What Happens in a Connection Group?

Connection Groups provide a welcoming environment where people can grow spiritually while building meaningful relationships. During a typical group gathering you can expect:

• Bible Study – Studying and discussing Scripture together in a practical and encouraging way.

• Prayer – Praying for one another and bringing our needs before the Lord.

• Community – Building friendships and encouraging one another in our faith.

• Care & Support – Walking through life together and supporting each other through both challenges and celebrations.

• Opportunities to Serve – Discovering ways to care for others and live out our faith in the church and community.

These groups become a smaller spiritual family where people can grow deeper in their faith while experiencing the love and encouragement of the church.
